Quynh Hoa (7) lives with her father and grandparents in a small house her grandparent’s own in Luc Nam. In the cramped, dark house there are no valuable items. They also own a small rice field near the house, but her grandparents are elderly and can no longer work. Hoa’s father works the field alone to feed the family. He works construction to earn extra income when he can.
Hoa studies very hard, so her father bought her a new desk as a reward. Unfortunately, she has to keep it outside because it doesn’t fit in the house and there is not enough light inside for her to study.
Hoa’s wish for the new school year is to have a new set of textbooks and a new school bag. Thanks to our generous donors, her wish will be fulfilled.
