Determining how to get more community involvement in her preschool and create more community awareness about the importance of childcare and education has been weighing heavily on Nguyen Thi Tai, the Van Con Preschool Headmaster. It seems the average family in her area is unaware of best practices in raising and educating children. This has made it hard to implement important projects like a school lunch program at the preschool.
YWAM Mercy Vietnam has provided training classes, awareness raising campaigns, and a study tour for leaders in this community to improve their management skills and Mrs. Tai has been diligent to attend. It’s her role to promote projects that would be helpful to the preschool-aged children in the community and the dynamic communication approaches she’s learned have been beneficial.

Mrs. Tai is influencing many others and multiplying the effect of YWAM Mercy Vietnam’s efforts by sharing what she is learning with the leaders and teachers at her school as well as her family and community members. She was so impressed with the Effective Communication & Negotiation Skills training that she asked to send three members of her school board as well.
I like all the training contents. I love best, how the trainer used a story-telling approach. It really touched me and encourages me to apply and share what I learnt on how to care and communicate with family members and other people in the community. [about Family Management Training]
