On 13 October 2017, we were honored to be invited to share in the Entrepreneurs Day celebration of several Hoai Duc Business Associations. The event attracted over 230 attendees including representatives of the Hanoi Business Association, district and commune leaders and members of the two Business Associations.

The associations awarded certificates of merit to excellent members for their achievements as well as their contribution to the community during this year and admitted new members to the association. They also expressed their thankfulness for the support of YWAM Mercy Vietnam and local leaders in creating a favorable business environment.

Since joining YWAM Mercy’s Business Development training and participating in the activities of the business association, I have changed my thinking a lot. Now at the age of 47, I’m not afraid of starting up a new business. In 2012, I owned a Technology Business. After graduating from the YWAM Mercy training program I changed to invest in growing oranges in Hoa Binh for 5 years. Recently, I decided to sell my orange farming business and have moved to producing Black Garlic, a functional food. I think as an entrepreneur, we need to maintain a start-up spirit, always moving forward. If we have good know-how, we will not fear a new start-up. Of most importance is the business idea, experimenting, and analysis with other members in the association.

Mr. Do Duc Trung, Vice Chairman of Hoai Duc District People’s Committee, shared about district and city goals for business development in coming years. He hopes businesses in Hoai Duc will keep developing production activities, building business integration strategy and creating jobs for residents to improve their quality of living. It’s our pleasure to witness the close cooperation of business and government as well as the development of the Business Associations.
