Mid-autumn brings an important traditional festival in Vietnam and some Asian countries like China, Japan, North and South Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, Laos, Cambodia, Myanmar, the Philippines and Thailand.

In Vietnam, Mid-autumn Festival is known at the most special celebration for children. It’s is a time for people to enjoy time with their families. The children in each Children’s Home gathered as a family as they do every year, but this year, Mid-autumn Festival became even more special because children in two homes celebrated together.

Together, they prepared food, fruits, cakes, and candies for the party as well as decorated the Home. Colorful lanterns are the most favorite toys for the festival. Of course, children singing and dancing adds to the joy of the party.

Today is a Mid-autumn Festival, a traditional festival of Vietnamese children. It’s so great when our local leaders and the YWAM Mercy staff come to organise a happy party with us. I and my friends will express our thanks by making an extra effort to study well and learn the right things to become a good citizens in the future.
