Every year, the Hanoi International Women’s Club (HIWC) organizes a Charity Bazaar, giving NGOs (Non-Governmental Organizations) an opportunity to raise money and awareness about their activities in a festive environment. It’s one of the biggest events on the expat calendar in Hanoi with the participation of thousands of families, diplomatic agencies, embassies, international schools and NGOs in Vietnam.

This year YWAM Mercy had the opportunity to share with many of the 10,000 bazaar visitors about our work developing impoverished communities.

YWAM Mercy has been participating in this event since 2005. In addition to sharing about our work, we also sold handmade scrolls, dolls, conical hat and bags to raise funds for our Children’s Homes.

This year we we were we received an award for being the best decorated booth in charity category.

In 2017, 2018, 2019 we received HIWC grants to develop child-friendly libraries. The bazaar is one source of these grant monies.
