German Embassy Hanoi-29 Tran Phu
Live Music and DJ, homemade German cakes, Draft Beer and German Barbecue, Raffle (Door Prize), Children’s performance
The “Schocker Club” Hanoi would like to invite you to a fund raising event at the German Embassy. Through our passion to play “Shocken” a dice game, we were able to raise a significant amount of money which we decided to donate for a good cause here in Vietnam. Inspired by the motto “Everyone Deserves Opportunity” of YWAM (Youth With A Mission) Mercy Vietnam, we visited one of their supported community based children Homes in Phu Chau in the Ba Vi district. We could see the needs of these children to have better and safer living conditions and decided to support their dreams of a better home.
The "Schocker-Club" Hanoi would like to introduce itself:
“Schocken” or also “Knobeln” is a very famous game of dice played mainly in the region of Westphalia and Rhineland, by at least 2 until up to twenty players. For about 2 years now we have been playing regularly in “The Kneipe” as an international team from Vietnam, Australia, United States, Columbia, Netherlands and last but not least Germany. Little by little the idea came up to play for money but for a good cause! A significant amount has already been collected by donations and penalties.
In co-operation with the local community, construction companies and YWAM, we have the ambitious goal to install a new electrical system, develop new sanitary facilities and refurbish the walls, floors and ceilings of the children home.
Unfortunately our raised financial funds will not cover all the expenses for this ambitious project. Therefore we would like to invite you to spend the afternoon with us and the children from the Children home in Phu Chau and enjoy the sound of Live music and a DJ, children’s performances and typical German food and drinks in our nice Embassy garden. There will be also a raffle with sponsored prizes. Meet the children from the children home and the staff from our project partner YWAM and inform yourself about the children homes in Ba Vi.
The entry fee of 200.000 VND per person and the profit of selling the food and the drinks will be directly donated to the project. Additional donations towards the project would be also most welcome and needed.
The entry tickets can be purchased at the entry gate on the day
OR in advance at following locations:
- The Kneipe, 52 to Ngoc Van Str., Tay Ho Dist, Hanoi
- YWAM office, 19 Lane 68/53, Cau Giay Road, Cau Giay
We are looking forward to welcoming you at our event.
