Knowing animal raising was a good way to increase their income, Pham Thi Nhinh and her husband always wanted to invest in breeding. However, they dared not borrow money from private lenders because of the very high interest rates and they could not secure a bank loan.
After attending training on cow raising, they received a 7 month-old calf from another family in the second round of the cow bank that YWAM Mercy Vietnam set up in their community. Two years later their cow just had it’s first calf which will go soon to a third round participant from their community.

After I pay back the first calf to project, I will keep raising cows. I can take care of two to three cows at the same time. This will provide capital that I can save for my old-age.
