SERVING COMMUNITIES IN VIETNAM

YWAM Mercy Vietnam is working in three districts located in the northern region of Vietnam.  These areas are undergoing rapid economic change.

Since 1986 the country has moved from being one of the poorest countries in the world with a per capita income of around $100 US to a lower middle-income status with a per capita income of around $2,100 at the end of 2015. However, the benefits are unevenly spread and many of the nation’s farmers (66% of the population) can no longer rely on subsistence agriculture for their income.
